Eastern breaks tie, holds off McDaniel College men's lacrosse team

Eastern scored three straight second-half goals to turn a 4-4 deadlock into a 7-4 lead en route to a 9-7 victory over McDaniel College in the men's lacrosse season opener for both teams on Wednesday at St. Davids.

Pat Woglom led the Green Terror (0-1) with three goals while Skippy Clary added two.

Grant Ferguson tallied three times for the Eagles (1-0).

After Woglom scored a man-up tally to knot the game at 4-all with 12:35 to play in the third quarter, Ferguson put the hosts back in front to stay 1:17 later.
