An Orange County massage therapist was sentenced Tuesday to jail time and probation after he pleaded guilty last week to sexually assaulting three of his clients, prosecutors said.
Jason Michael Elliott, 29, was sentenced to one year in jail, three years of probation and will have to register as a lifetime sex offender, according to a statement from the Orange County district attorney's office.
Elliott, a Sunset Beach resident, pleaded guilty to one felony and two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery, according to the statement.
Prosecutors said Elliot, who worked for nine months from 2009 to 2010 at Seal Beach Massage Envy, sexually assaulted three women on separate occasions during their appointments.?
Prosecutors said one of the women reported the assault to Seal Beach police, who found the other two women during the investigation. The women did not know each other, prosecutors said.
Elliott had been registered as a certified massage therapist through the California Massage Therapy Council, but he lost his certification as of July 2011, according to prosecutors.?
